The Bachelor Sesaon 27, Episode 11: Best and worst moments
By Julia Wagner
Monday night’s finale of The Bachelor Season 27 had Zach Shallcross torn between Gabi and Kaity. There was a continuation of Fantasy Suite drama, some very bright wardrobe choices, and some dramatic live appearances on After the Final Rose.
Let’s get to the best and worst moments of The Bachelor Season 27 finale!
The Bachelor Season 27: Best moment of Episode 11: Zach’s family
Each season, one family member stands out, and this season it was Zach’s father, Chapman Shallcross. This man is a delight.
He struck a balance between listening to the girls about their feelings and fears while also giving genuinely helpful life advice!
He was so sincere when discussing the camaraderie between him and his wife and how weathering bad times in life strengthens a relationship. Gabi learned more about Zach from talking to his father than she has from Zach all season!
Thank you, Chapman!
Zach’s mom was also just so sweet and sincere. The girls were immediately emotional around her, and she was so accepting. I want a whole season of Zach’s family!
The Bachelor Season 27: Worst moment of Episode 11: Gabi’s breakup
This was simultaneously painful and riveting to watch. From the second Gabi exited the limo, she expected to go home. She even tried talking to Jesse Palmer about it, who didn’t exactly know what to say.
I don’t think we’ve ever had a contestant so invested in the Bachelor who also was so convinced she was going home.
Listening to Gabi repeatedly asking Zach to stop talking, saying she didn’t want to hear it, was one of the more heartbreaking moments I’ve seen on this show. She was right when she said in After the Final Rose that it’s not any easier, even if you expect it!
Farewell, The Bachelor!
