On Monday night’s episode of The BachelorZach Shallcross and his final three women headed to Thailand for a  week full of rain, monkeys, and some very awkward conversations.

Zach proved me wrong when I thought no surprises were left in Fantasy Suite week.

It started with publicly declaring that he wouldn’t have sex with any women. Then Zach returned to his word and ran around like a chicken with its head cut off, trying to be honest with everyone. I don’t think we’ve ever seen this on this show.

It certainly provided for an entertaining episode, at the very least.

Let’s get to the best and worst moments of episode 10!

The Bachelor Season 27, Episode 10: Worst moment: Zach talks to Gabi

Zach and Gabi slept together in the Fantasy Suite. Then Zach, in his truth-telling fervor, decided to visit Gabi, post-Fantasy Suite, to inform her of his intention to tell the other women (and all of the viewers) about his and Gabi’s intimate night together.

This was so uncomfortable to watch. I didn’t get the sense that Gabi had any choice here. Zach was saying, “Hey, I’m going to tell everyone about us having sex. Just wanted to let you know.” She was clearly uncomfortable with it, but that didn’t stop him.

It was humiliating to the point of Gabi saying she felt like she was in The Scarlet Letter, with an A sewn onto her clothing. Great literary reference, but upsetting she was put in that situation.

We’ll see how that picks up next week!

The Bachelor Season 27, Episode 10: Best moment: Ariel goes home

This is what confidence looks like. Zach sent Ariel home and tripped over his words apologizing and telling her what an amazing woman she was.

But Ariel didn’t need it! She acknowledged that it hurt, but everything told me she would be fine.

I’m still floored they didn’t make her Bachelorette, but it seems that if they couldn’t even get her to cry when being sent home, she might not be a producer’s dream for the lead.

So while I’m sad to see her go, I hope we see her in Paradise.
