Zach Shallcross’ Fantasy Suite dates were quite possibly the worst we’ve seen on The Bachelor or any of the shows from the franchise. What started as trying to be a nice guy just transformed into a hot mess, and I’m still not sure how I feel about it.

Zach started the night by telling Jesse Palmer that he would not have sex during “sex week.” He said that he wanted to wait, and I respected that decision. There isn’t anything wrong with waiting–to each their own.

But where he messed up was how he handled the entire situation. He made the decision not to have sex, made a big deal about it, knowing cameras were recording him, and then he proceeded to do the complete opposite of what he had decided to do.

But that isn’t even the worst thing.

Zach Shallcross fails miserably at Fantasy Suites

The first overnight date was with Ariel, which went as Zach planned–completely sex free. Instead of a night of passionate sex, the two had a cuddle session and enjoyed each other’s company. Things got sticky when Zach decided to break the “no sex” rule and slept with Gabi.

His guilty conscience led him to reveal everything to Kaity. He blurted everything out to her because he had done something he said he wasn’t going to and divulged information she didn’t want to know in the first place. In most seasons, there is an unspoken rule about not talking to other contestants about the Fantasy Suite dates you’ve had.

Zach decided to go full throttle and told Kaity how he slept with Gabi, but he had made a pact not to have sex at all, etc. It broke her heart that he just laid it all on her. He didn’t think about her, which was quite selfish.

The whole situation worsened when Zach then told Gabi that he felt bad that they had sex. Did that sound like the wisest thing to do, Zach? He went into the whole I feel guilty, and I need to tell everyone our business because I screwed up, and I don’t care about how this impacts you.

It was an absolute trainwreck!

To top all of this off, when the rose ceremony arrived, it appeared that he did not tell Ariel anything about what had happened. Or at least it wasn’t televised. Did he send her home without explaining all that had transpired?

Honestly, Zach could have gotten through the whole situation by keeping quiet and refraining from airing out everything. What happens in Fantasy Suites usually stays in Fantasy Suites, so whatever a lead and contestant decide remains between them. Zach decided to air out everything, making him look horrible.

It was not a good look, and Zach will certainly have a lot of explaining to do during the After the Final Rose special. And based on past specials, Bachelor Nation plus any guests will not go easy on him.

Please tune in to see how it all goes down and what repercussions Zach will face for some messy, ridiculous decisions.

Fantasy Suites? More like Nightmare Suites…
