The Bachelor Season 27, Episode 8: Which contestants are still in the running?
The light shining off a bright diamond ring shows the way to the end of The Bachelor Season 27. Zach Shallcross has narrowed the field to four women, Kaity, Charity, Ariel, and Gabi, who all received hometown dates. This is an important part of the process for the couple to see if their families will be accepting of The Bachelor.
Gabi received the first hometown date and invited Zach to her stomping ground of Pittsford, Vermont. The couple tapped maple trees for sap and tested their palettes for maple syrup. Zach had a great time with Gabi’s family and seemed to pass the test. Gabi had a tough time with Zach leaving, which shows how deeply they feel for each other.
Ariel was next and took Zach on a tour of her hometown, New York City. They toured the Big Apple, trying some local delicacies, including Ariel’s cultural food, including pastrami, in a New York deli. Her family asked the tough questions to which Zach didn’t always have an answer. This date didn’t go as well as the first one.
Charity had the next hometown date, where her friends and family hosted a southern cookout in Columbus, Georgia. They had a perfect date surrounded by family and friends before going line dancing in a country bar. Charity capped off the date by saying she was falling in love with Zach. How will he respond?
Kaity invited Zach to a hometown date in Austin, Texas, where she had been living for the last few weeks before the show. This was also the hometown of The Bachelor himself. The two went shopping for Kaity’s new house, and Zach helped her build furniture and care for a few things around her house. Then Zach met her family, including Kaity’s mom, the most important person in her life. After getting the confirmation from her mom, she is all in on Zach and reveals to him that she is falling in love with him.
Who did Zach choose to keep on The Bachelor Season 27, Episode 8?
Zach had three roses to hand out during this week’s episode and didn’t make the decision lightly. His first rose went to Ariel despite being arguably the worst hometown date. After having to answer tough questions from Ariel’s brother and dad, Zach saw the silver lining and decided to continue pursuing a life with Ariel.
The next rose went to Kaity, which was the obvious decision. Her hometown date was coincidentally in his hometown of Austin, Texas. The two bonded over building a home together, and after getting the seal of approval from her mom, Kaity knew it was time to dive in with both feet. Zach had the biggest reaction with Kaity out of all the dates when she revealed she was falling in love with him.
The final rose was given to Gabi after their great hometown date in Vermont. There is something between Gabi and Zach despite either saying how they feel about each other. Out of the three women remaining, Gabi is the only one that hasn’t told Zach she is falling for him. However, this meant that Charity would go home after revealing to her family that her biggest fear was getting her heart broken again.
Who did Zach send home on The Bachelor Season 27, Episode 8?
As mentioned above Charity was sent home in this episode so Zach could get down to his final three. Their departure was emotional as Zach tried to assure Charity that it was him and that she deserved the love he couldn’t give her, but that wasn’t what she wanted to hear. She left very confused and conflicted about her feelings and what they had experienced on her hometown date.
