As the stakes get higher, the women try their best to prove to The Bachelor that they are the one for him. Let’s discover what happened on The Bachelor Season 27, Episode 6!
The Bachelor Season 27, Episode 6 recap
1. Back in Action
Zach has recovered and is ready for the next week of The Bachelor Season 27. He started this episode by recapping the nine women remaining with host Jesse Palmer. He went through each woman and talked about his relationship with each woman. Jesse reveals that Greer is asymptomatic with COVID and is isolated in her room. Curious to see if she gets to participate in this week’s festivities.
The women take to their hotel, and the first date card is revealed. Charity received the one-on-one date card, making up for their missed date last week in London. Zach met the women at the hotel to pick up Charity for their date.
Before he departs with Charity, Kat pulls Zach aside. She said she missed him and ended their conversation with a kiss. Some women noticed he had lip gloss on his lips when he returned to pick up Charity.
The couple toured Tallinn in a horse-drawn carriage which was the only way to travel in the town that looked like it was out of a Disney movie. Then the date took a twist, and the couple decided to try out a roadside attraction called wife carrying. Zach had to carry Charity, upside down on his back, through an obstacle course as fast as he could.
They returned to their carriage and continued touring the city. They stopped at a tavern to experience the local spirit as a local would. Taste-testing sugar almonds and marzipan were on the menu as they continued their tour of Smoochcity (as Charity called it), Estonia.
The two dined and had a deep conversation about past relationships and what Charity had gone through before the show. The Bachelor gave a rose to Charity, who accepted, and the two finished their night in the horse-drawn carriage.
2. Tensions Bubbling and Brewing
At the hotel, tensions were rising as no one was taking Kat’s side when she kissed Zach before Charity’s date. Jess was also starting to panic as more women went on a one-on-one date as she waited patiently.
At that point, Jess, Greer, and Ariel were the only women of The Bachelor Season 27 that had not been on a one-on-one date yet. As Gabi read off the next date card, it was a group date, and Ariel was the only name left off. This meant that she secured the one-on-one date, and Jess went another week without one.
Jess immediately broke down in tears feeling that her time with Zach was ending. As the women prepared for the group date, Kat’s actions were brought up again after Charity discussed her date. Tensions were high heading into this date.
The group date took part in some of Estonia’s more interesting culture, witchcraft. They met a witch, of over 20 years, in the woods to partake in love rituals. They walked around a fire and peered into each other’s eyes through the flame of a candle. While this was a meaningful experience for Kaity, Gabi, and Aly, Jess’ flame went out when doing this with Zach. Did that foreshadow an end to their relationship?
The after-party had a more serious vibe as Zach tried to compensate for lost time last week. Kaity and Gabi capitalized on this opportunity first, getting quality time with Zach on this group date. Jess made her rounds to the other women trying to calm her nerves. Zach pulled her aside to chat in what could be their last conversation.
Jess opened up about how she had been feeling, and Zach tried to reassure her of his feelings. He tried to convey to her that one-on-ones were not everything on The Bachelor and that he had confidence in their relationship from day one. Jess again noted how she hadn’t gotten a one-on-one yet and couldn’t be vulnerable unless she had one.
This set Zach back, revealing he was not as confident in their relationship after this conversation. Jess said she would not fight for Zach, so he promptly escorted her out. They both felt there was now a disconnect they couldn’t get past. Zach returned to the group, told them what happened, and revealed that no rose would be given out tonight.
