Monday night’s episode 5 of The Bachelor Season 27 (which I’m calling Episode 5: Covid and Corgis) took place in London town, and it was a special episode as Zach Shallcross was notably absent for most of it!

Episode 5 brought us charming royal servants, and lots of tears.

Let’s get to the best and worst moments of The Bachelor Season 27, Episode 5!

The Bachelor Season 27, Episode 5: Best moment: Edward

Edward the Fragrance Creator was such a gift this episode. Just so precious! He took his fragrances seriously and provided the perfect foil to Zach and Gabi’s humor.

All the helpers on Zach and Gabi’s royal date were awesome (especially the Corgis), but something about Edward was just super legit, with all his bottled scents and huge textbook of fragrances.

He was smiling, watching them the whole time and replied “brilliant” to almost everything they said. So cute!

Thank you Edward, for being on our screens and helping create the Zabi fragrance.

The Bachelor Season 27, Episode 5 worst moment: Covid

I feel like London is always the place in the season when everyone gets sick on The Bachelor!

Anyone remember Emily Maynard’s London week on her season of The Bachelorette when she was sick as a dog and could barely talk? This was pre-Covid, so she was able to be an absolute champ and rally for her dates!

There must be something in the London air. It was just so sad seeing the girls roam around London on their own.

And oh my gosh, Covid also led to the horrifically awkward virtual cocktail party date between Greer and Zack. SO AWKWARD. I felt SO bad for her. I felt like Zack deliberately misunderstood her comment about when she had Covid and did not have to make such a big deal out of it.

Here’s hoping for a healthier week next week!
