5. Zooming into Love

Zach was missing the women, and the women were missing Zach. The show must go on, and so did The Bachelor Season 27. Zach and the show pivoted, deciding to host the cocktail party and rose ceremony virtually. This put a new spin on their relationship, with some women not feeling as comfortable with a virtual setting as they are in a personal setting.

Charity was up first because she missed her one-on-one date, and Zach had a special surprise. Since their time had been cut short, Zach got her a glass statue of Big Ben–get it, Ben. Charity got emotional because she felt valued and seen despite receiving that personal time with Zach. Despite the awkwardness of a virtual date, Charity and Zach seemed to hit it off effortlessly in the first run.

Kat was next and impressed Zach with her English vocabulary and virtual kissing techniques. Kylee talked about wanting to see Zach instead of waking up beside Mercedes. Brooklyn wore a royal guard hat to their meeting. Aly had both her and Zach kiss an orange. Jess had a great conversation with Zach before it was Greer’s long-awaited turn.

This didn’t go as planned, as the two didn’t seem to connect and had trouble sustaining their conversation. She related her time with Covid during the end of a sales quarter to Zach getting Covid during the show. He disagreed with this and reiterated how it was different. His entire body language changed from that point on.

6. Rose Ceremony

Jesse met with Zach virtually before the rose ceremony. Zach started to tear up, knowing he couldn’t give the roses out in person and have one last moment with the women he was sending home. Emotions began to flood about the lost week and how that impacted his relationships with the women.

Zach greeted the women virtually before starting the ceremony. He talked about how they made the most of their time despite interruptions. He expressed how rough this was on him and would give anything to be there in person.

Kaity was the first to receive a rose and selected it graciously from the pile. Charity was up next, who also selected a rose from the pile. All the women could do was chuckle at the awkward situation of Zach virtually giving out a rose and the women having to grab their own from the stack. Aly and Kat received the next two roses.

Brooklyn received the next rose, which left only three remaining. Jess heard her name called next, which left only two roses. Ariel was called next, which meant that the final rose was between Kylee, who had a great virtual chat with Zach, Greer, who didn’t have a great virtual chat with Zach, and Mercedes, who was left out a lot the past few weeks. In the end, Zach chooses to keep Greer despite their awkward and somewhat negative virtual conversation.

Much more is to come on The Bachelor Season 27, as evidenced by the teasers. Does Zach find true love in the end?
