3. Group Date Blues

As The Bachelor Season 27 women prepared for their group date, they received a date card from Zach that noted he was under the weather and wouldn’t attend their group date. Many women were upset about going without Zach and would have waited at the hotel rather than explored this historic city.

Nevertheless, they went on a date, which was a double-decker bus tour of the city. Some women tried to enjoy the moment, while others sulked at the fact that Zach was not there. This was a big moment for some women to make a final push to impress The Bachelor.

However, they hit a turning point on the date at the pub, where the women decided to make the most out of their date and drank a little before touring the rest of the city. They ate fish and chips, stood in a red phone booth, and taunted a royal guard.

They were all looking forward to the cocktail party, hoping that Zach would be rested enough to be there. Instead, they were met by another butler with another card from The Bachelor. The note from Zach read that he would not be attending the party and would hopefully see them soon. This devastated the women because most of them got dressed up and put a lot of effort into this party, hoping to make one final impression on Zach.

Some women felt they stood up, and others were too angry to talk. Mercedes and Kylee hoped to have this time to make a final impression on Zach before the rose ceremony, while Greer and Brooklyn were growing more impatient with him. The women decided to split the rose, and each took a pedal for the trouble they experienced on this date. When they returned to the hotel, they told Gabi and Charity about their troubles that day, and Charity started to doubt if her one-on-one would occur.

4.  Covid Strikes

Jesse greeted the women before Charity’s one-on-one date and revealed he had bad news for the group. He revealed that Zach tested positive for Covid that day, which meant he wouldn’t be going on Charity’s date or missing out on the group date.

The women try to rationalize the situation, and although they want the best for Zach, it’s hard to miss this time when big decisions await The Bachelor. Some women capitalized on the situation, like Kaity, and visited Zach outside his room and brought him a gift basket filled with things from their tour of London. She talked about missing time with him made her feel like they were losing momentum, but she still wanted him to know she cared for him and could see a future with him.

Zach reassured her of his feelings for her, how they were still in a great place, and that she was happy, she was there. This exciting and thoughtful approach to the situation should make Kaity stand out from the other women. While some were sulking in their room, Kaity capitalized on the poor situation.
