The Bachelor Season 27, Episode 4 recap: Drama on the Docks

Zach Shallcross has found his core group of women on The Bachelor Season 27 and is set to continue his journey to find love for at least another week. After the drama was quelled last week, Zach and his 14 remaining women take to the high seas and continue their journey in the Bahamas.

Christina was sent home last week, the only woman to be eliminated by Zach, which was to help resolve some drama or hesitation in the house. This episode teased more drama on the horizon as things heat up with Zach. Let’s find out what happened during the fourth episode of The Bachelor Season 27!

The Bachelor Season 27, Episode 4 recap

1. Bahama-Mama

After last week’s dramatic ending to conclude week three of The Bachelor Season 27, the women receive joyous news from Jesse Palmer to start episode four revealing that the women would be heading to the Bahamas for the next chapter of their love story. The women had an hour to pack and leave The Bachelor mansion since Zach had already left.

Zach noted that this would be a great reset after the drama recently plaguing the house. The first date card in the Baha Mar resort was read and it was Kat who heard her name called for the one-on-one date. Emotions are starting to set in as Greer immediately started crying after hearing that her name was not on that card. Since receiving the first impression rose, she hasn’t had a lot of time with Zach. Mercedes and Anastasia echoed her sentiments.

In Nassau, Kat and Zach boarded a sailboat, called the Outsider, where they were driven around the ocean. Zach talked about how he was nervous around Kat and was curious why she picked to be on the show to meet him. He felt that she was too good for him. The cute couple danced on the deck before diving into the ocean for a snorkeling adventure. Both noted how easy and comfortable it felt on their first date.

Back at the resort the rest of the women were enjoying their private pool area all hoping the next date was theirs. Anastasia expressed doubts about her standing with him and how he has already established his “favorite” women. While the resort was full of doubt, the beach was full of certainty with Zach and Kat. The two felt like this was not their first date just based on how comfortable they were around each other.

2. Digging Deeper

The next date revealed at the resort was a group date. Many of the women were not happy to hear their names called as everyone was wanting private time with Zach. By process of elimination, that meant Brooklyn was going on the next one-on-one date on The Bachelor Season 27. The process is starting to become real for some of the women and many are wanting to solidify their relationship with Zach and get his validation in return.

Meanwhile, Kat and Zach were still on their date and sat down for dinner. Tough conversations were ahead as is with every dinner after a one-on-one date. Kat started to reveal the deeper side of her noting that she may have not had the best upbringing. Zach comes from a very traditional, stable family whereas Kat struggled to build a relationship with her mother and even lived away from home for a period of time.

She reiterated that she is wanting a traditional family and wants a husband that she can spend the rest of her life, through thick and thin. Kat felt at times that she is unloveable and is hard to get to that place with someone else. Zach solidified his feelings for Kat and expressed how he wants to love someone for who they are now, not how they were.

The two built a deeper connection after this conversation with both revealing a little more about themselves. Kat accepted the rose graciously and the two kissed as real fireworks exploded in the distance and theoretical fireworks exploded between Zach and Kat.
