The Bachelor Season 27, Episode 3 recap

1. Date Night at the Museum

Jesse greeted the remaining women of The Bachelor Season 27 to open this episode noting that there would be two romantic one-on-one dates with one gigantic group date. Katy heard her name read off the date card and was set to go on this nighttime date with Zach. He picked up Kaity from the mansion after greeting the women. They were set to have a very formal, romantic date that night.

They entered the Natural History Museum and went on a private tour of the place in the dark with each other. The two walked hand-in-hand with lanterns lighting their way. While the two were exploring the museum the next date card arrived at the house which was for the group date that hinted at a game with no rules. All the women heard their names called out except Aly who would be going on the other one-on-one date in this episode.

Back at The Bachelor museum, Kaity and Zach settled down for dinner. They discussed what they were looking for in a life partner which Zach has already said is his best friend. Katy explained that she is coming off a seven-year up-and-down relationship and is seeking safety and someone that isn’t going to run away. She said she is only looking for the basics and someone that will treat her right and Zach was shocked and appalled. He believed someone should give her the world and give her the attention she deserves.

Zach offered Kaity a rose which she accepted. Zach then popped the more important question of did she want to spend the night together in the museum. She agreed and the two donned matching pajamas before exploring the museum more. The two called it a night in their tent while the women back at the mansion worried about what was going on during this date and the fact that Kaity still hadn’t returned.

2. Touchdown for Team Zach

The women of The Bachelor Season 27 wake up to find that Kaity’s bag is still there but she has not returned. Later that morning she strolls in still in her pajamas noting that she didn’t get any sleep. The cat was way out of the bag knowing that Kaity had some intimate time with Zach that the other women have yet to experience.

The women departed for their group date which took place on a football field for The Bachelor Bowl 5. Zach invited two former NFL Superstars Shawne Merriman and Antonio Gates. After a quick training montage, the women suit up before taking the field. It was the Ball-Zachs versus the Shall-Crushers. Hannah Storm and Jesse Palmer take the mics to commentate the action.

On the opening kickoff, Anastasia took a big hit and was not getting up quickly. She might have been a little confused about the rules of the game and got up eventually receiving some private time with Zach on the sideline. Later, Gabi recovered a fumble and actually peed her pants a little, as Jesse noted, a Bachelor Bowl first. The women were flying around the field laying each other out in pursuit of an afterparty with Zach.

The game was tied at halftime. The Ball-Zachs scored a touchdown to pull ahead. The Shall-Crushers simply ran out of time in the end. One team celebrated on the field with Zach and champagne while the other team went back to The Bachelor mansion defeated.
