3. First One-on-One

During the first group after-party of The Bachelor Season 27, back at the mansion, it was announced that Christina would be going on the first one-on-one date of the season, which was great because she wanted to tell Zach more about her life as a mother. Zach picked Christina up in his Bronco, driving her out of the mansion to a private helicopter.

The two were taken on a tour of Los Angeles, seeing the Hollywood sign and flying through a cloud. The next stop…Zach’s childhood home where Christina will meet his family…on day two of meeting Zach. His mom had a birthday earlier in the week that Zach missed, and he wanted to make up for it. Christina met his friends and family and even saw a scrapbook of baby Zach, bringing up some feelings about her child. They have a lot to discuss later.

Christina brought this up during their dinner that night, and Zach seemed to take it nicely. He said it was a lot to take in, and while he didn’t understand the feelings, he does want to start a family and loves that she already has started one. Zach is still unsure of it in his side interview, talking about how a timeline is already put in place, and he wants to start a family on his terms. He noted that sometimes you have to be selfish.

In the end, Zach elected to keep Christina around and wanted to get to know her and Blakely, her daughter, more. She accepted the rose graciously, and the two hit another level in their relationship. This was a tough conversation to have, but both handled it well.

4. Fast Forward to Love

The second group date was abbreviated in that it skipped directly to the after-party, where Zach vowed to meet and chat with everyone woman on the date. This group featured several women Zach had only met with at the limo. The more he talked to the women, the more he kissed them. Looking back on it, Zach kissed at least four of the first five women he talked to on the second date.

The women took a serious approach on this date, wanting to know Zach on a deeper level. They brought up their biggest fears and worries in addition to some secrets they’d never told anyone else. Meanwhile, Gabi was waiting for her chance to meet with Zach for the first time.

When her time came, she started making nicknames for Zach, but none seemed to stick. She talked a lot and threw a lot of information at him, which may not have been the first opening move. After talking to the other women, he didn’t kiss Gabi, which put her on edge since he had kissed almost everyone else.

In the end, Zach gave the rose to Jess, who opened up with Zach about things they’d never told anyone else. Gabi left in tears because she didn’t feel she did justice in representing herself and didn’t feel that she stood a chance with the other women who had such interactions.
