Demi Burnett came into our lives during Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor. The Bachelor broke her heart, but she didn’t give up on the idea of love. Instead, she went on Bachelor in Paradise Season 7 and made Bachelor Nation history. She came out as bisexual and had a short-lived romance with a woman named Kristian Haggerty, who stopped by the beach. The couple got engaged at the end of the season, but they broke up later that year and went their own ways.

Earlier this year, Demi Burnett revealed that she was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and has been an advocate for neurodivergent cast members since then. But with all that said, what is she up to now?

She recently tweeted a photo of herself at the Noelle Ball with the caption, “I’m ready when you are @BacheloretteABC.” So, ABC, what do you think?

Demi Burnett wants to be the next Bachelorette

Whether or not ABC wants her to be the next Bachelorette, fans left positive comments in response to her tweet, sharing their excitement for the franchise’s potential first bisexual Bachelorette.

She got comments like “You’d make the most iconic Bachelorette” to “We need a 100% neuro spicy Bach season.” So it’s safe to say that fans would absolutely be on board with Demi Burnett being our next Bachelorette. There may have been a time when that idea would have been opposed, but things have changed since Demi’s villainous days on The Bachelor.

If Demi does indeed become the next Bachelorette, then we’d be in for a historical season! Perhaps she would have male and female contestants competing for her love–wouldn’t that be awesome?!

Time will tell what ABC decides for our next Bachelorette, but I definitely think they need to change something and mix it up. The same ‘ol formula has gotten old and redundant, and if they want to stay relevant, they need to keep up with the times.
