Monday night’s episode of Bachelor in Paradise Season 8 brought us new arrivals, love triangles, an overabundance of crabs, and plenty of drama. Let’s get to the best and worst moments of episode 2!
Bachelor in Paradise Season 8, Episode 2: Worst moment: Genevieve
Victoria Fuller arrives on the beach with general fear and excitement, and she chooses Justin Glaze to go on a date. Genevieve and Justin have talked for about a day (how long has it been??), and Genevieve says if Justin is AT ALL conflicted, she will pack her bags and go home immediately. She also says she doesn’t want to “chase roses,” but isn’t that the premise of this show?
Why come to Paradise if you’re only interested in dating one person and would leave if they had any feelings for someone else?
Genevieve subsequently has a full-on breakdown and goes around and starts interrogating Justin’s friends.
I feel bad for her, but they’ve only been in Paradise for a couple of days. Slow down!
The only good thing about this situation was Andrew Spencer, who was such a charmer as he attempted to comfort Genevieve at the bar. What a gentleman.
Bachelor in Paradise Season 8, Episode 2: Best moment: Workouts
Jacob leads an ocean-side workout for the girls; everyone takes it very seriously! It’s nice to see the contestants doing something other than drinking and crying.
Thank goodness for the comic relief of Jacob. I genuinely found him super hilarious in this episode. Watching him confide in his dream of building his muscles truly interested me. I’m now personally engaged in his fitness journey.
Best quote from Jacob: “I don’t think anyone thinks I’m a model. If they do, great. I’ve heard it before.”
Can’t wait to do it all over again tonight!
