Lace Morris made quite the impression on this week’s Season 8 premiere of Bachelor in Paradise. As a veteran Bachelor Nation contestant, she was a bit older than the other folks on the beach. Honestly, ABC was unnecessarily trying to bring attention to her age. It’s for the laughs and drama but was quite ridiculous.

Morris was first seen on Ben Higgins’ season of The Bachelor and was last seen in Paradise during Season 3. She now joins the likes of Andrew Spencer, Michael Allio, and Hunter Haag, amongst others hoping to find love. Sure, everyone (apart from some others, including Michael A. and Casey) is under 30, but the show went out of its way to shed light on Lace Morris’ age.

Seriously, guys, what gives?

How old is Lace Morris?

During this week’s episode, Morris tells Paradise bartender Wells Adams that it’s her birthday. He announces it to the rest of the group, “unaware” that she is lying about it. Morris’s actual birthday is November 3, 1989, which means she is 32 years old.

At the time of filming, she was still only 32 years old, so I’m not sure why the production made such a fuss. Sure, it was funny that she lied about her birthday but is the age thing that big of a deal? I don’t think so.

Compared to the other contestants in their low-to-mid 20s, Morris is a bit older, but some of the guys are a few years older than her. It’s not something to put focus on, and if anything, we should embrace that age is a diverse thing!
