Bachelor in Paradise Season 8, Episode 1: Best and worst moments
By Julia Wagner
It’s back! Bachelor in Paradise Season 8 premiered Tuesday night, and it was a breath of fresh air. After a long, sad, emotional season of The Bachelorette, I think most of us have been very excited to take a beach vacation.
The premiere had it all: random shots of crabs and birds, trusty bartender Wells, tears, fears, and plenty of make-out sessions.
Let’s get to the best and worst moments of the Bachelor in Paradise Season 8 premiere!
Bachelor in Paradise Season 8, Episode 1: Worst moment: “Luce” and Logan
Oh, no. I love an awkward moment, don’t get me wrong, but this was almost too much. Lace Morris, who we all remember fondly as one half of the Bachelor power couple Grant and Lace, returned to the beaches of Paradise after many years. It did not go as planned.
Feeling ignored and invisible as the only older alumni, Lace decided to tell everyone it was her birthday so they would pay attention to her. This was humorous.
She then pulled Logan aside and embarked on the most intense-sounding introduction I’ve ever heard on this show. Don’t take a shot when she says, “I’m 32, I don’t have time to waste,” because you will fall.
When did 32 get so old? And why must it be called attention to?
When Logan replied that he was 26 and proceeded to call her “Luce,” it was all over.
Painful!
Bachelor in Paradise Season 8, Episode 1: Best moment: Every time Michael spoke
I am SO happy to have Michael A. back with us. He just stands out so much, in a good way. He is self-deprecating, cheerful, attentive, and seems genuinely goodhearted and laid back.
I feel like we got to know Michael A. on Katie’s season, but he was taken from us very abruptly when he decided to go home to his son. Thank goodness he’s back!
If I were on the beach, I would go straight for him. Here’s hoping he lasts the whole season!
We are so happy to be back in Paradise!
