The Bachelorette Season 19, Episode 12: Best and worst moments
By Julia Wagner
This season has been a wild ride, and Tuesday night’s finale of The Bachelorette Season 19 was certainly no exception! We had proposals, broken hearts, a cheating scandal, a returning suitor, and plenty of confusing and dramatic moments.
This episode was jam-packed with ups and downs. It felt like it moved at light speed!
Let’s get to the best and worst moments of The Bachelorette Season 19 finale!
The Bachelorette Season 19, Episode 12: Worst moment: The spoiler
I’ve just got to get this out of the way–since when is the show allowed to spoil things for the viewers?
The finale began in a darkened studio, with our lovely host Jesse Palmer alone onstage.
The show thought Jesse needed to inform us about the cheating scandal before we could see it as it happened!
Why are spoilers now preferable, or even okay? Gone are the days of any sort of suspense on this show!
I get that a good deal of the audience knew about the cheating rumors beforehand, but I, for one, didn’t necessarily believe them and wanted to see them for myself.
Sigh. Spoilers are never okay!
The Bachelorette Season 19, Episode 12: Best moment: Zach
Zach may be the most obvious choice for Bachelor, but I found the ending very refreshing after this sad and painfully uncomfortable finale.
Zach is just so endearing. I truly LOL’d when he couldn’t even remember one of the five girls’ names. He seems very able to laugh at himself and is awkward on camera, in a good way!
Most importantly, after a season of “wrong reasons,” Zach stands out as a genuinely sincere and shockingly mature 25-year-old. I can see him being a Bachelor we want to root for!
Cheers to next season!
