The Bachelorette Season 19, Episode 7: Best and worst moments
By Julia Wagner
Hometowns are here! On Monday night’s episode of The Bachelorette Season 19, Gabby and Rachel disembarked from the cruise ship and traveled to the hometowns of their final few suitors.
Gabby found herself in New Orleans, Palm Beach, and Bedminster to meet the families of Jason, Johnny, and Erich. Rachel traveled to Anaheim, Wildwood, and Santa Clarita, to the hometowns of Zach, Tyler, and Tino.
It was nice to return to some Bachelorette normalcy after weeks of double-Bachelorette ups and downs on the high seas.
Let’s get to the best and worst moments of The Bachelorette Season 19, Episode 7!
The Bachelorette Season 19, Episode 7: Best moment: Jason’s family
Oh my gosh. This family is The Bachelorette’s dream. So many emotions!
Gabby and Jason went to meet Jason’s father in the park, and he was possibly the most endearing person ever to appear on the show. I loved when he hurried over with flowers, saying, “I don’t know whether to laugh or cry!”
The tears continued when the pair met Jason’s mother and sister. His mom immediately broke down in tears at the sight of him. Overall the family was just so bubbly and friendly and emotional. A+!
The Bachelorette Season 19, Episode 7: Worst moment: Tyler’s Hometown
You know a hometown’s going south when one person is saying, “This is going to be the best date of my life”, and one is saying things like “I’m apprehensive” and “we are definitely the furthest behind.”
Watching Tyler happily run around the amusement park, introducing Rachel to his friends, as Rachel progressively broke down more, was just so painful to watch.
It was borderline cruel to bring someone as positive and loving as Tyler to hometowns, knowing how invested he was when Rachel had to have known last week that she wasn’t picking him. I’m sure many people were pulling the strings, so I blame the show!
It got EVEN WORSE when he didn’t realize she was breaking up with him and kept telling her how much he loved her.
Cruel, I say!
Tyler for Bachelor? Bachelor in Paradise? We will see!
