Rachel Recchia almost quit The Bachelorette Season 19. Does that truly shock anyone? I’m not sure how closely you’ve been watching this season if it does. It’s been a rollercoaster ride, and the person that has been most impacted is Rachel.
From day one, she’s been hitting roadblock after roadblock and crying in almost every episode except last week. Whether it is the men ignoring her or men switching to Team Gabby, this poor woman has dealt with it all.
In an interview with CinemaBlend, Rachel Recchia opened up about the traumatic experience of being on the show and how she came very close to walking away. Check out what she had to say below!
Rachel Recchia almost walked away from The Bachelorette Season 19
According to Rachel, there were “just really low moments,” but she “always had this amazing group of guys waiting for me, and ultimately, I knew I would never sacrifice that.” She kept going instead of walking away because those guys were worth it.
One of the things that kept Rachel grounded was having confidence in the fact that there were plenty of men that wanted to be with her. It was for them that she had to keep this journey going. But honestly, I would not have blamed her if she had decided to leave it all behind. It was incredibly stressful, and she did not have an easy time dealing with all the emotions thrown at her.
In hindsight, two Bachelorettes was a horrible idea and never should have been executed.
Rachel also shared that what Bachelor Nation saw was her “in those low moments” in which she was “feeling a little insecure and being completely honest.” She also points out that viewers tend to forget that they are human and have to process a lot of this in real-time. If you would place us in that situation, I’m sure we’d make similar, if not worse, decisions.
Many will argue that these guys put themselves in this situation, and yes, while they do, it is still something that impacts them. So we must respect their process and give them the space and courtesy to be human like the rest of us.
Hope things are on the up and up, Rachel!
