Madison Prewett is engaged to boyfriend Grant Troutt

Congratulations are in order for The Bachelor alum Madison Prewett! Over the weekend, her boyfriend (now fiance!) Grant Troutt proposed to her at The Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida. She took to social media to post the good news, and hasn’t looked happier!

I’m genuinely thrilled for her, especially after the hot mess and rollercoaster that was her short-lived romance with Peter Weber. Prewett and Troutt started dating eight months ago, and just as they were about to hit the nine-month milestone, he popped the big question.

Troutt went above and beyond to ensure Madison Prewett got her dream engagement. The 26-year-old minister to churches and athletes wanted to make sure his woman would jump at the chance to say yes. And she sure did!

In an interview with PEOPLE, Prewett shared what that magical moment was like:

“Grant was waiting for me and led me out to the beach, where he had candles and flowers and a Bible with my new name on it,” said Prewett. “And the ring of my dreams!”

She was caught off guard and “had no idea the proposal was coming.” She was even in the dark about how Troutt planned for weeks and kept her family involved every step of the way.

It’s a very sweet, romantic love story, and it makes up for Madison’s tumultuous journey while pursuing love on The Bachelor. Sorry, Pilot Pete, Madison has found her happily ever after, and she didn’t have to sacrifice her morals to get it! Bravo to that!
