The Bachelorette Season 19 aired its premiere last night giving Bachelor Nation something to talk about for the next two months. It was exactly what we expected–filled with cringe, awkward entrances, and a whole lot of head-scratching moments.

Things felt rather slow given that we had two Bachelorettes, Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey, looking for love among 32 contestants. Most of the were not eager to make a move or just were incredibly slow in being proactive when it came to kissing. And then when there was kissing involved, it just felt very awkward (did anyone else feel this way?)

In either case, the premiere episode was fairly entertaining as Gabby, Rachel, the contestants, and the production got their bearings on how this season is going to work. It seems like no one has any idea, and host Jesse Palmer just kept telling the ladies that it’s up to them.

I mean, aren’t they supposed to guide them a little bit?

Is The Bachelorette Season 19, Episode 2 airing tonight?

Sadly, no. Usually, there are two-night episodes when the season is coming to a close, but not at the beginning or the middle. We can expect that there will only be one episode a week until we get to the end, but hey when Bachelor in Paradise airs we have two episodes a week!

I prefer it to be this way because the flagship shows aren’t as exciting as Paradise so we don’t need more than once a week in my opinion–unless the season is just that good. The verdict is still out for Rachel and Gabby’s season since it has only just begun.

From the looks of it, it has the potential, but this first episode wasn’t exactly inspiring me to get super excited. But hey, it’s still early, Bachelor Nation!

The Bachelorette is back!
