Bachelor in Paradise: Top 7 most memorable contestants

BACHELOR IN PARADISE - “708” – Heading into the long-awaited cocktail party, five women prepare to be sent home, but first, they’ll have to make it through one of the craziest nights in Paradise history. Starting off with a bang, the beach’s most controversial couple faces a reckoning they can’t come back from. Then, one couple pays a visit to the Boom Boom Room, another endures a birthday breakup of epic proportions, and one unlucky lady gets a second chance at love, all before the rose ceremony even begins. When the roses are finally handed out, there’s one more surprise in store…WHAT?! Lil Jon has arrived as the next guest host and he’s not playing around, OKAY? In fact, he brought a whole new batch of guys with him who will make their entrances soon. Later, as a new day begins, it feels like a fresh start in Paradise. But is there more hope or heartbreak on the horizon for these beachgoers? Only time will tell on “Bachelor in Paradise,” TUESDAY, SEPT. 14 (8:00-10:01 p.m. EDT), on ABC. 1. Joe Amabile (“Grocery Store Joe”)

We all know “Grocery Store Joe” at this point. Whether we like it or not (and guess what, we all love it), he’s basically become a household name when it comes to the Bachelor in Paradise franchise. Joe has since sold that grocery store and is sticking to pasta sauce now.

Joe has that smile, that likability factor, etc. We all remember him walking up to someone during the last season of Bachelor in Paradise with a whole army of girls around him (towards Thomas, I think). We all remember how shy he was around Serena Pitt and how well he handled Kendall’s whiney little a**. All in all, Joe is one of the most memorable Paradise people for positive reasons only! You go, Joe!

Check out his Instagram to catch up on his post-paradise romance with Serena Pitt!

2. Chris Bukowski

In case you’re unaware, in the last and final season of Bachelor in Paradise that Chris was on, he was labeled as the “Old Grandpa”. This was because of his classic cheesy intro at the beginning of every episode, which we all know and love by the way. It was him walking onto and arriving on the beach with a walker.

Don’t remember that? Check out that video down below (he comes in at about a minute in)!

P.S. He is now in a pretty serious relationship with Chicago’s own, Anna Redman, the one involved in Chicago’s “I know someone that says she’s a cheating little rat” drama from Matt James’ season.

3. Demi Burnett

As much as it absolutely pains me to say this…Demi might be the most memorable contestant to ever grace the beaches in Mexico. Mostly for causing drama, stealing men (and women for that matter), and just overall being a drama queen who literally flourishes on ruining other people’s times on Bachelor in Paradise.

Let’s talk about her top two Paradise moments (feel free to drop more down in the comments):

  • (1) She was the first contestant to be involved in a same-sex relationship in franchise history.
    • Basically, her girlfriend from back at home joined the show. While it didn’t work out for them, it was certainly a historic moment for the show, and hopefully, there are many more positive historic moments to come.
  • (2) She nearly ruined Mari and Kenny’s relationship upon entering the beach.
    • In Season 7, Demi made what is hoped to be her final appearance in Paradise. She came in late, so many relationships were already being formed, if not already formed. She gravitated towards Kenny, got into some funny business, and nearly broke up power couple Mari and Kenny. Thank goodness it all worked in their favor in the end, because they’re still together…and Demi’s not one of them.
