Reality Steve reveals wild Bachelor in Paradise Season 8 plot twist
By Ariba Bhuvad
MAJOR Bachelor in Paradise Season 8 spoilers ahead!
We are now in the possession of an alleged Bachelor in Paradise Season 8 plot twist thanks to Bachelor Nation guru Reality Steve. Of course, we only know what he knows through his sources, but more often than not, he’s got the right intel.
It appears that the series began filming just as it always does, with couples forming as soon as everyone arrived on the beach. However, production decided to throw a wrench into the system, and now I’m not sure how I feel about it.
Before I get into the Bachelor in Paradise Season plot twist, I just have to say that I really hope that this new attempt at spicing things up doesn’t mess up the show. Out of all the shows in the franchise, Paradise is the best one. I just don’t want them to do something that will jeopardize the way this show works.
And it really does work! SO many more couples are still together after meeting on this show versus the flagship ones. Here’s to hoping that nothing messes up what has been a perfect formula for so many couples to fall in love.

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD!
Earlier this week, Reality Steve did an Instagram Live where he revealed what this supposed plot twist is. As mentioned, couples began forming pretty early on but then production decided to mix things up.
Reality Steve referred to the plot twist as Casa Amor meets Love Island–whatever that might mean. If you’re like me and have no idea then here’s how he explained it. Basically, couples were asked to separate, aka the men and women were split up and asked to stay in different accommodations. During this separation, five new women were brought in to meet the current male contestants, and five new men were brought in to meet the current female contestants.
Of the male contestants, this is who arrived in Paradise:
- Olu Onajide
- Rick Leach
- Tyler Norris
- Adam Todd
- Alex Bordyukov
Onajide and Leach were from Michelle Young’s season of The Bachelorette, Norris is from Rachel and Gabby’s upcoming season, Todd is from The Bachelorette Australia Season 6, and Bordyukov is from Rachel Lindsay’s season.
Of the female contestants, this is who arrived in Paradise:
- Eliza Isichei, Kate Gallivan, and Sarah Hamrick from Clayton Echard’s season
- Jessenia Cruz from Matt James’ season
- Florence Moerenhout from Bachelor in Paradise Australia
Okay, so we’ve seen new contestants come in before but we’ve never seen couples physically separated, so this is part of the Bachelor in Paradise Season 8 plot twist.
But the true twist came during the third rose ceremony when the contestants had to decide if they were going to stay with the person they originally were with or if they were going to pursue a different connection. This sort of sounds like Netflix’s Ultimatum: Marry or Move On, at least the potential swapping of partners part anyway.
It looks like during the third rose ceremony there was one couple that was impacted by the twist. Rodney Matthews first connected with Lace Morris when he got to Paradise, but after the separation, he hit it off with Isichei and ended up staying with her. Onajide and Leach ended up leaving the beach because they formed no connections.
What do you think about that for a Bachelor in Paradise Season 8 plot twist, guys?!
Bachelor in Paradise can’t premiere soon enough!
