Maurissa Gunn is opening up about the challenges she’s faced since her breakup with ex-fiance Riley Christian. The former couple hit it off last year during Bachelor in Paradise and left the beach happily engaged. However, a few months later what seemed to be a beautiful, happy relationship turned out to be anything but.

The couple called it off, and while we don’t know the exact reasons, it’s pretty clear that it wasn’t on the best terms. Luckily, that hasn’t deterred Maurissa Gunn from losing hope when it comes to finding the love of her life.

In fact, she remains optimistic as ever! Can you share that optimism with the rest of us, Maurissa?

She stopped by to speak with BachelorNation.com, and shared that while it sucks looking for your person, love is the most important thing to her. She’s hopeful that someone, someday is going to sweep her off of her feet.

Maurissa Gunn is still looking for the one

Even though Maurissa and Riley parted ways, the former Paradise contestant believes this experience can truly work. In fact, she says that as long as two people are willing to make it work, things will come together.

While that sentiment doesn’t always ring true for couples coming out of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, it does usually end up being true for the Paradise couples. A lot of them end up staying together long-term and that is likely due to the nature of the show. The success rate is just higher (Hmm…I wonder why?!).

Sadly, things didn’t work out for Maurissa Gunn and Riley Christian, but I have hope that she will find the person that makes her happy. Who knows, maybe she’ll make another appearance on Paradise!
