The Bachelorette Season 19 is about to make history, Bachelor Nation! By now, I’m going to assume you have watched the conclusion to Clayton Echard’s ridiculous season of The Bachelor. If you haven’t watched it, come back to this article later as it will be filled with a lot of spoilers.

I don’t have words to explain how I feel about Clayton’s journey, and I’m going to reserve my judgment because it was just a dumpster fire. A full-on dumpster fire. I don’t know how we got to the ending we did, but however it happened, it led us to what will be a historical moment for The Bachelorette series.

For the next season, which will premiere on July 11, we are going to get not one, but two Bachelorettes as the leads. Who are they? Find out below!

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD!

The Bachelorette Season 19 is making history with two leads

Okay, so you’ve had plenty of warnings about spoilers so I’m going to get right to it.

We can all agree Clayton’s season ended on a not-so-inspiring note and it wasn’t the ending most fans were expecting. While Clayton and Susie did eventually reconnect and find love, it just felt all sorts of weird and wrong after everything that happened. Nevertheless, I wish them well and I truly hope they find happiness together.

But while Clayton and Susie found their happily ever after, there are two women whose hearts Clayton literally stomped all over–Gabby and Rachel. We got to see them say their peace during the After the Final Rose special, and I think we can say that their chapter with Clayton is officially closed.

Now, they’re heading into a new chapter as they make history as the first two women to star as the Bachelorettes in the same season. That’s right, both Gabby and Rachel will star as the leads. How will it work? Well, we don’t know the format just yet, but if it ends up being that they are going to share the same pool of men, I don’t think it will end great.

It’s essentially going to be what they already went through and not any better so ABC better find a way to do this right. I don’t want to see these women who have now become best friends, hurting one another or fighting each other for love. Given how much this franchise loves drama, I’m sure that is exactly how the format will play out, but I’m going to hold out hope that they have other ideas.

I’m looking forward to Gabby and Rachel as the leads, though! I think they (and their adorable families) were the best thing to come out of Clayton’s season of The Bachelor. It’ll be nice to see these two women find love because Clayton genuinely screwed them over. They deserve happiness, and I truly hope they find it!
