Hometowns are finally here! This week on The Bachelor Season 26, Clayton Echard traveled to meet the families of his four final women. There were laughs, tears, jujitsu, and a random tightrope walk. Best episode of the season so far!

Let’s get to the best and worst moments of episode 8!

The Bachelor Season 26, Episode 8: Best moment: Love Actually

Gabby’s family was overall the cutest (her grandpa is adorable) but the best moment by far was her dad rolling up and communicating with her with signs—such a Love Actually throwback!

The sweetest moment was when Gabby instantly started crying when she saw her dad. I love that Clayton let her have this moment alone!

His best sign: “thank you for being the glue of our family.” Multiple fathers said something similar about their daughters this week!

The Bachelor Season 26, Episode 8: Worst moment: Tight roping

I never understand hometown activities like this on The Bachelor. I remember when Rachael and Matt went skydiving on her hometown date, and I was similarly confused.

It would make sense if Serene worked as an instructor at this place, or goes every weekend with her friends. But she even said, “It’s something I’ve never done before.” How does this give him a special insight into her life? All it does is provide us with tenuous “falling in love” analogies.

I would have loved to see more of Serene’s personality come through with the choice of activity. We only get one hometown week— let’s make it about actual hometown activities!

dark. Next. Who went home on The Bachelor this week?

Can they change the way they do hometowns–please?
