Colton Underwood is engaged to boyfriend Jordan C. Brown

Colton Underwood is officially engaged! That’s right, Bachelor Nation! The former Bachelor is now engaged to his boyfriend of over a year, Jordan C. Brown, and they are absolutely adorable. PEOPLE exclusively announced the news just a few hours ago and ever since the internet has been buzzing with their thoughts, opinions, and comments.

Underwood recently celebrated his 30th birthday with Brown and the couple went away for a romantic getaway in Big Sur over the weekend. That is where the proposal took place and where the couple decided they are going to spend the rest of their lives together.

The former Bachelor shared that he “couldn’t have pictured a more beautiful place to celebrate an amazing milestone in my life and relationship.” Both Colton Underwood and Jordan C. Brown took to social media their wonderful news with pictures of the couple popping champagne together.

Underwood and Brown started dating last summer, soon after Underwood publicly came out as gay in April 2021. Soon after coming out, he released a documentary on Netflix called Coming Out Colton. 

It’s been a very tumultuous journey for Underwood who first entered the Bachelor franchise as a contestant on Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette. He eventually became the Bachelor himself where he had a very interesting journey with Cassie Randolph. The two didn’t get engaged on the show but stayed together through some of 2020 just as the pandemic hit. However, they had a very public and dramatic breakup and within a year of it, Colton came out as gay.

While it may have taken a long and difficult journey to get to this point, Underwood seems very happy with how his life has turned out. And now, he’s engaged to the love of his life!
