Who went home on The Bachelor this week? (Season 26, Episode 7)
By Ariba Bhuvad
The Bachelor Season 26 gave us a pretty great episode, which is a compliment I have not given to the show in a very long time. For the first time, in a long time, the lead, in this case, Clayton Echard, made a reasonable, logical decision.
I was flabbergasted at how intelligently Clayton handled the entire situation, and I don’t think I’ve ever been more proud of him. It was truly a great moment to witness, Bachelor Nation.
You might be wondering what I’m going on about so don’t worry I’ll get to it below. But before I do that, just a quick recap on what went down this week. Besides five women being sent home, the contestants got to go on one-on-one dates and group dates in Vienna. Yup, the locale changed from Croatia to Vienna and it was absolutely stunning.
I don’t who decides where the group dates and one-on-one dates will be, but I have to say, some people get the short end of the stick. I mean in this episode alone one contestant went to a palace during a one-on-one date after a shopping spree while the others had to attend a therapy session. That is so not evenly distributed–at all.
Who was sent home on The Bachelor last night?
A total of five contestants were sent home during last night’s episode of The Bachelor. It was probably the most that have been sent home in a single episode, but it was very necessary. I think we’re finally down to the group of women that makes the most sense, and I have to credit Clayton for making the logical decisions he needed to.
So who got sent home?
It was Eliza, Genevieve (after a very awkward therapy session), Mara (honestly, I didn’t mind this one), Teddi (was pretty sad about this one), and Sarah (good riddance). I think of all of those Sarah being sent home was the one that made the most sense. She was already getting on our nerves and it was so obvious that she was putting on an act the entire time.
I could not stop clapping when Clayton called her out on her BS and said that she had no tears and no emotion even though she was trying so hard to. It was Clayton’s moment of redemption and I honestly applaud him for understanding which contestant doesn’t fit in.
With only four women left (Gabby, Susie, Rachel, and Serene), we are now heading into hometowns next week. It’s crazy to think we’re already at this point in the season, but it’s time for Clayton to meet the final four women’s families–and it’s going to be absolutely entertaining.
See you all next week!
