Matt James’ very awkward moment during the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game

Matt James, aka the former Bachelor, got a chance to partake in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game this weekend, and it was eventful, to say the least. Or rather, I should say awkward, very awkward, This awkward moment has been making its rounds around the internet and social media, and it’s not a good look for Matt James at all.

In case you missed it, during last night’s Celebrity Game, James was fouled and went to the free-throw line to make some shots. I’m not sure what happened but it appeared that for a second he forgot there were also females on the team. After making the shot, one of his teammates, Brittney Elena went up to congratulate him and he turned around and accidentally tapped her chest.

If you’ve watched basketball, it’s a very common thing for teammates to congratulate one another with a slap on the hand or the chest, but in this case, it did not go over well. It was likely that at the moment, James didn’t think about the fact that women were also on the team, and he accidentally groped Elena’s breast and realized what had happened after the fact.

Unfortunately for him, the entire moment was caught on camera and ever since then, people have been watching and rewatching the awkward moment when he literally grabs Elena’s breast. Yikes.

While I can’t speak for James, I’m sure this was a very honest mistake, and he was filled with regret almost immediately. At least I hope so! I’m sure apologies have been made and the horror of what he had done has been addressed.

Nonetheless, I’m not sure I can get Elena’s disgusted face out of my mind. She did not look happy after what happened, and to think, they had to keep playing after that. Not a good look for Matt James at all, so I hope they truly did talk it out and smoothed it over.

I don’t think this past year has been one for James considering he was broiled in controversy during his season of The Bachelor last year. After choosing Rachel Kirkconnell to be his forever love, pictures of her at an antebellum party surfaced. It led to them breaking up because of the racial insensitivity of those pictures and even led to Chris Harrison being booted from the franchise for supporting Kirkconnell’s intentions.

Fast forward one year and James and Kirkconnell are back together, and it seems they’ve worked out the issues that tore them apart in the first place. However, now James may have found himself in the middle of another controversy.

Yikes. That’s all I have to say.
