Who went home on The Bachelor this week? (Season 26, Episode 5)
By Ariba Bhuvad
The Shanae-nanigans continued on last night’s episode of The Bachelor Season 26, and it was exhausting. Somehow she managed to make it through another week, and we can credit her “Oscar-worthy” performance for it. I don’t know if it’s the production team forcing Clayton Echard to make questionable decisions or if he really can’t see it, but either way, someone should have sat down with him and made him see reason.
During this week’s episode, some of the contestants tried to get Clayton to understand that Shanae is bad news, but he just didn’t see it. He focused on the wrong things (like the trophy?) and ended up keeping her around. It’s like he absolutely ignored what every single person had to say.
Oh, and he just didn’t even pick up on the fact that Shanae was playing him the entire time. Any time she was on the camera talking to the crew, she literally revealed she was playing innocent for the sake of tricking Clayton. Sigh, this guy–how did he not see any of it?
Anyway, while Shanae gets to stick around for yet another week (ugh), here are the three women that we had to say goodbye to this week.
Who was sent home on The Bachelor last night?
During the rose ceremony, we were all holding our breath hoping that Clayton would finally make the right decision and send Shanae home. However, that is not what happened, and instead, he sent home, Jill, Lyndsey W., and Sierra.
The worse part about this? Sierra was one of the women that tried to warn Clayton this week about Shanae. She was honest and straightforward about the chaos Shanae had been causing, but instead of acknowledging that she was trying to help, Clayton sent her packing.
Not sure what compelled him to do that, but his decisions have all been questionable this season. He has even tried to apologize on social media for overlooking the fact that Shanae was being inconsiderate towards Elizabeth, but after last night’s episode, Lyndsey W. went on TikTok and called him out on that. Basically, she revealed that she herself had told Clayton about the Shanae drama, specifically about how Shanae attacked Elizabeth for being neurodivergent. But in Clayton’s apology on Instagram, he said he had no idea and that he felt bad for being in the dark about it.
Tsk, tsk Clayton, that’s not cool.
"@lyndsey_windham Clayton…. You knew. Wish you the best tho #thebachelor ♬ original sound – lyndsey_windham"
All of Clayton’s dirty laundry is being aired out, and if things are already so dramatic, I can’t even imagine what the After the Final Rose special will be like. Is it weird that I’m excited to see Clayton get called out by all the women?
Oh, Clayton. What are you doing?!
