Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon have a name for their baby boy

Bachelor in Paradise couple Jared Haibon and Ashley Iaconetti have picked out a name for their baby boy who is due on February 10th (so soon!). It’s quite adorable if you’re asking me and is inspired by Leonardo DiCaprio’s character from Titanic–Jack Dawson.

The official name will be Dawson Demitri Haibon, which the couple revealed during their Amazon Live Broadcast earlier this week. As a die-hard Titanic fan myself, I am so here for this name. It’s pretty darn adorable!

Ashley Iaconetti has been very candid about her pregnancy (morning sickness, etc.) since she revealed to the world that they were expecting. From the fertility issues to finally getting pregnant, it has not been an easy road for this couple, but they’re almost there and so close to their bundle of joy.

In just a couple of weeks, Ashley and Jared will be welcoming their baby boy. This feels like such a beautiful continuation of their love story which certainly has had its up and downs over the years.

The couple first met on Bachelor in Paradise during its second season back in 2015. Ashley knew that Jared was the one for her, but he took his time getting around to the idea. They dated a bit in 2016, came back to the show for Season 3 where Jared decided to date other people.

This put a pause to their love story until 2018, during which they remained friends. But during a trip to St. Lucia, Jared finally had some sense knocked into his noggin and realized that Ashley was his one and only love. In June 2018 he finally proposed and their engagement was shown during the fifth season of Bachelor in Paradise. About a year later they got married, and that brings us to today!

As the due date gets closer, Ashley has shifted to Virginia to her parents’ home. Her father is an anesthesiologist and so Ashley plans to have her baby at the same hospital that her father has been working at for over 28 years. How cute is that?!

Meanwhile, Jared has been commuting back and forth from the couple’s home in Rhode Island. He’s been tending to their new café, Audrey’s, which opened back in December.

It’s a lot going on at once but the world can’t wait to see them welcome baby Dawson into the world. Ashley revealed during the live broadcast that the inspiration for Dawson’s name comes from her love for Titanic which she has loved since she was a little girl. She simply couldn’t think of a better name.

Suffice to say, the couple did go back and forth through their love for cinema trying to pick names. There were inspirations ranging from Mission Impossible to Cruel Intentions to Star Wars. They went through it all but ultimately landed on Dawson.

I’m just going to say it now but Dawson is going to be one of the most adored Bachelor Nation babies. His parents have had a love story right out of a rom-com, and so it only makes sense that he’s named after a character who had the greatest cinematic love story of all time.
