Tyler Cameron to compete on Fox’s celebrity dance competition ‘The Real Dirty Dancing’

Tyler Cameron can’t get enough of that reality television show life and is all set to return to the small screen. We’ve just learned this week, thanks to Deadline, that he will be one of the handful of celebrities that will be competing in Fox’s upcoming dance competition series, The Real Dirty Dancing.

Yes, it is absolutely a homage to the classic movie starring Patrick Swayze (Johnny) and Jennifer Grey (“Baby”)–and I cannot wait! It looks like the series will have the celebrities reliving some of the most iconic and classic dance moments from the original movie. But it will be in the form of a competition, of course.

Along with Tyler Cameron, there are seven other celebrity competitors including Brie Bella, Corbin Bleu (ah, High School Musical!), Cat Cora, Howie Dorough (gasp, Backstreet Boys?!), Antonio Gates, Anjelah Johnson-Reyes, and Loni Love. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I am stoked about this. Has there ever been a cooler group of people competing?!

I think not.

Tyler Cameron is all set to show off his moves

The Real Dirty Dancing will take place in Mountain Lake Lodge located in Virginia. For those that don’t know, this is the real location for the original film’s fictional location of Kellerman’s Lodge. Pretty cool, right?

Tyler Cameron and the other contestants will get partnered up and learn those iconic dances from the movie and even recreate the scenes that made us believe in love. Yes, that includes the lift! Ah, the lift.

Who doesn’t love the lift dancing scene?! I can’t wait to see Tyler Cameron doing that dance move, ya’ll. I think there will be a lot of emotional fainting and hearts melting that day–I can already see it.

Luckily, we don’t have a long wait ahead of us before we see Cameron and the other contestants channeling Dirty Dancing as the competition series will premiere on Fox on February 1.
