12. Chris Soules

Mr. Farmer Chris here isn’t really this far down the list for his actual season, but surely for what happened and what sorts of things went down after the fact.

Back a few years ago in April of 2017, Soules rear-ended a man who was riding a tractor. That man later died; Soules was later charged with leaving the scene of a fatal car crash/fatal crime scene. It was later found that there was an opened bottle of alcohol found in his car. And just to add a tiny little tidbit here: he’s not with his final chosen lady.

Surprised? I think not!

11. Jake Pavelka

There are quite a few *dramatic* things that happened in Jake’s season of The Bachelor.

Here they are:

  • Contestant Roxlyn Papa was kicked off the show for having a ‘physical’ behind-the-scene relationship with one of the producers.
  • Ali Fedotowsky left the show early to return to work (later became the Bachelorette).
  • For the first time in franchise history, both women on the two-on-one date were sent home.

And of course, he chose Vienna Girardi. And of course they broke up months post-show.

10. Ben Higgins

For the most part here, Ben’s season of The Bachelor was pretty tame and lame. However, towards the end of the show, he told both of his final women that he was in love with them. Unfortunately, nowadays, that’s super common; however, back when Ben was the bachelor, that was uncommon and sort of unheard of at times.

He ended up choosing Lauren over JoJo. JoJo went on to be the next Bachelorette and Lauren went on to have a spin-off show with Ben called Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After?

Well apparently it wasn’t happily ever after because they weren’t together long after it began. Sigh…

But hey, he’s happily married now to Jess Clarke (and nope, she is not a part of Bachelor Nation!).

9. Matt Grant

*Not pictured.*

Thus far, Matt Grant has been the franchise’s only British Bachelor. In all honesty, that alone was probably the most exciting thing about him and his season.

Unfortunately, his season (afterwards) was met with deep sadness and tragedy. One of the girls/contestants, Erin Storm, from his season (12) died in a plane crash in 2016 – which was just 8 years after his season happened/aired.

He stated how deeply sad he was and wishes her family nothing but his love and condolences. He didn’t choose Erin, he chose Shayne, but still expressed how deeply sorry he was for Storm’s family nonetheless.

What a guy!

8. Peter Weber

One thing that we all know that Peter did, was that he almost encouraged all of the women in the house to talk trash to each other. I mean, don’t get me wrong: I loved it because I love all of the drama and could use a little variance in it; however, why, Peter, why?!

Another thing that we all know that Peter did, though not on his own season, but when he *came* in third place on Hannah Brown’s season, they had some fun (four times to be exact) in a windmill together.

First of all, ew, we did not need to know that. Second of all, ew, keep it to yourselves. He said he wants that incident(s) behind him and to never hear the world ‘windmill’ again; however, he will always be know to me as Windmill Weber! #SorryNotSorry #LOL #WindmillWeber #4Times

7. Ben Flajnik

To start out over here, Flajnik ended up choosing Courtney from his season of The Bachelor. I think that it’s pretty safe to say that no one liked her. Not people at home, not the other women in the house.

Where did he come from exactly? Because he’s so unforgettable? He came in second place to JP Rosenbaum on Ashley Hebert’s season of The Bachelorette (now divorced).
