The Bachelorette Season 18 came to an interesting end last week, and even though it is now over, many of you may have forgotten over the holiday weekend and are checking here to see if there is a new episode. I’m here to tell you that what we saw last week was the conclusion to Michelle Young and Nayte Olukoya’s journey.

The two are engaged and very happy together, and honestly as adorable as couples get. It was so refreshing to see two people in love, and I truly am hoping they stay together. These shows don’t have the greatest track record and we often see couples go their separate ways within one year.

I’m rooting for Michelle and Nayte to make this work, so let’s send good vibes out there in the world! And as for a new episode? Well, you know the answer to that question.

Is there a new episode of The Bachelorette?

Unfortunately, no. Nayte proposed to Michelle, she sent home Brandon Jones right before, and then the last hour of the finale was the After the Final Rose special. That wrapped up what was a pretty mediocre season, and one that I hoped was way more exciting than what we got.

I think the most exciting to have happened was the fact that the couple was given $200,000 from ABC. It was a check written out to them to use as a down payment for their future home. It was completely unexpected and definitely a first-time occurrence for the franchise.

I’m pretty sure we’ve never seen anything like that but kudos to ABC. It’s a pretty impressive gift!

And with that, we may have bid farewell to The Bachelorette Season 18 but we still have The Bachelor Season 26 to look forward to next week. It’s time for Clayton Echard’s journey to begin, Bachelor Nation! Will you be watching?
