The Bachelor Season 26: Watch this dramatic teaser featuring Clayton and his final three women
By Ariba Bhuvad
The Bachelor Season 26 premieres in a little less than a month featuring Clayton Echard as the lead. If you’ve been watching Michelle Young’s season of The Bachelorette then you’ve already met the new and mysterious lead. And if you’re feeling underwhelmed and not too excited about his journey, you are not alone.
We barely got to know the guy during his time as a contestant, and the most vulnerable we saw him was on his way out. In fact, it was pretty clear that it was his audition for becoming the Bachelor and production got a bit too cringe with the whole thing.
During this week’s Men Tell All special for The Bachelorette Season 18, we got a sneak peek at Clayton’s season, and it was a bit more revealing than promos of the past. Not only did we see Clayton with all of the women, but we got a glimpse of his final two. That’s a bit strange, isn’t it?
The Bachelor Season 26 promo
Towards the end of the promo, Clayton is heard admitting he’s in love with the final three women.
He tells one of the women “I couldn’t be more sure that I’m falling in love with you,” then another one that he’s “falling in love with you,” and then the third woman, “I am in love with you.” It’s a bit of a Ben Higgins situation except much, much worse.
And why is worse? Because he then proceeds to tell two of the women this:
“I just want you to know that what I’m about to say is not going to be easy to hear. I want to be fully, fully transparent, and I know it’s not easy to hear, but I was intimate with both of you.”
Yikes.
That doesn’t bode well for Clayton’s reputation ahead of his season, and given that Bachelor Nation has already been on the fence about him, this may just deter folks from watching the season altogether.
We’ll have to wait and see how Clayton’s journey plays out but so far, it’s looking like it’s going to be pretty rough.
Side note: Have they ever just willingly just shown the final three like that? I found that to be a bit odd, but okay, we’ll roll with it.
Check out The Bachelor Season 26 premiere on Monday, January 3 on ABC at 8 PM EST!
