The Bachelorette Season 18, Episode 4: Most cringeworthy moments
Rose lovers, I have never been more fooled while watching this show than I have by Chris Sutton throughout this entire episode. It’s as if The Bachelorette Season 18 has sworn to introduce a new villain every week. Allow me to count once again–there was Ryan, Peter, Jamie, and now Chris. A brand new villain for a brand new episode. When will this duplicity end?
All the cringe-worthy moments from this week’s episode that I’d like to talk about involve Chris. This is new for me–being so consumed by a single contestant that they’re the very driving force of my article. That’s how talented Chris S. truly is.
Here are The Bachelorette Season 18’s cringeworthy moments from this week!
The Bachelorette Season 18, Episode 4: Moment #1: Martin defends Jamie
Martin, Martin, Martin. Defending your best bro Jamie who was kicked out by Michelle Young for his shady business last week WHILE you’re in the hot tub on your one-on-one date is not the way to spend a one-on-one date.
Despite your communication skills. I am still unable to comprehend the fact that Martin called Jamie “one hell of a man” right when Michelle was worried about them being friends, and then this little issue was just shoved off when he went off on a monologue during dinner.
You don’t have to be an expert at communication to realize that Jamie threw everyone under the bus, and not for the Right Reasons™. I remember my jaw dropping at that instant, I was so sure he was going to be sent home! But he somehow managed to charm Michelle during their dinner and I mean good for him, but I’d refrain from getting too close to anyone who defends Jamie.
The Bachelorette Season 18, Episode 4: Moment #2: Chris Pulls a Jamie
There was a lot of Jamie in an episode where Jamie wasn’t present himself. The Bachelorette season 18, continuing to promise a new villain each week saw Chris S. pull a Jamie (I mean, the least you could do is be original, Chris).
He declared it to Michelle (in the presence of everyone else) that several of the men on the show thought they had it “in the bag”. During the private conversation, he rattles off Nayte as one of the culprits, totally making the Bachelorette question everything she has built with the guy.
Now, everyone who watched the episode this week knows, that all Nayte meant by having a one-on-one date sooner or later, was that he was confident in his relationship with Michelle. She likes him, and he likes her. It’s pretty obvious.
Of course, he’s going to have a one-on-one soon. Chris clearly didn’t like Nayte’s confidence and tried hard to make him the bad guy, and though Michelle didn’t see past his treachery, she did decide to keep Nayte for another week. Nayte–I put my faith in you. Chris needs to go home!
The Bachelorette Season 18, Episode 4: Moment #3: Chris Angers Olu
Chris, the “king of underestimating other contestants and testing their patience” was really insulted when Olumide, or as Bachelor Nation likes to call him, Olu, suggested that he might not get a rose because of the stunt he pulled off with Nayte.
Chris went off on a rant, telling the camera that as soon as his name is announced during the rose ceremony, he will “wink” at Olu, and say something snarky. He also shared that he will give his rose to Olu so he can keep it in a vase at his bedside, until the next rose ceremony. Has this guy seen Olu? I mean, he eats three Brandons for breakfast.
Cut to when Chris’ name is announced, he quietly walked down the carpet and accepted the rose. Where’s the wink, Chris? Did you have a moment of realization? Enlighten us, please!
Rose lovers, that’s all for The Bachelorette Season 18 cringe-worthy moments from this week!
