Bachelor in Paradise Season 7, Episode 8: War of Roses
This week’s episode of Bachelor in Paradise Season 7 was literally a war of roses. The third rose ceremony of the season vested its power in the men…which means the women were freaking out because five of them could be going home.
Most roses were predictable and went to the already-established couples, but a few of them were interesting, to say the least.
War of Roses: Bachelor in Paradise Season 7, Couple 1: Natasha Gets A Rose
When the rose ceremony begins, Natasha, Jessenia, Deandra, Demi, and Tammy are all looking pretty worried because well – they don’t have a secure rose tonight. Natasha, who was blindsided by Brendan for the last seven episodes, is disappointed she didn’t take time out to make a connection with anyone else.
When Wells arrives, he makes a speech about someone who was lied to and manipulated. We all know he’s talking to Natasha – and then he whips out an extra rose for her, a second chance at love. Justice for Natasha – finally!
War of Roses: Bachelor in Paradise Season 7, Couple 2: Thomas Gives His Rose To Becca
Tammy’s birthday is a day after the rose ceremony, but the cocktail party has gone on for so long that it is being filmed past midnight. Tammy realizes she has business to take care of and decides to have a conversation with Thomas… with who she has been coupled up. However, he just had a very successful date with Bachelorette Becca.
Unfortunately, Thomas suggests he wants to break up so he can further his connection with Becca, and that he doesn’t see them having a future. This conversation reinforces Thomas’ villain status because he waited for Tammy to bring it up, which makes me wonder what if she hadn’t?
Did he just plan to give the rose to Becca at the rose ceremony and make the birthday girl cry? All his actions point to exactly that. Later in a confessional, Tammy makes a tone-deaf statement about how her situation with Thomas was worse than having Covid. “Last year I got COVID on my birthday and this is ten times worse.” Girl, seriously?
Among the other available roses, Riley gives his rose to Maurissa, Joe to Serena, Ivan to Kendall, Noah to Abigail, Kenny to Mari, James to Tia, and Aaron to Chelsea.
