Bachelor in Paradise Season 7, Episode 8: Best and worst moments
By Julia Wagner
It was a one-episode week for Bachelor in Paradise Season 7, and this episode really delivered. We had a villainous couple exit, a tattooed newcomer, and some genuinely sweet moments!
It was quite a wild ride, which naturally left us with a lot to talk about. So without further ado, let’s get to the best and worst moments of this week’s episode of Bachelor in Paradise Season 7!
Bachelor in Paradise Season 7, Episode 8: Worst moment: Demi and the mob
At the beginning of the episode, it somehow occurred to Joe and a mob of girls that it was advisable to embark on a very drunken-sounding takedown of Brendan and Pieper.
I don’t even blame Joe much for this, although he was the apparent leader of the mob when they approached Brendan and Pieper. He was overall pretty reasonable.
But Demi! I cannot. Didn’t Demi do something very similar to the Brendan/Natasha situation in her previous season of Paradise? She was dating Derek but ended up bringing Kristian on the show to date, something she could have done in “real life.” She didn’t tell Derek about Kristian until they had already formed a connection.
The hypocrisy!
I understand the annoyance/hurt on Natasha’s part, but why in the world are these other people so upset? Demi kept saying they wasted “everyone’s time.” Everyone?? How did they waste Demi’s time in any way?
Demi followed it up with the phrase, “they literally just got annihilated” as if that was the goal- to annihilate them, not to gain understanding or help Natasha. Demi has great qualities, but this comment was just SO mean-spirited, especially considering the lack of self-awareness of the similarities to her situation.
This was really the worst moment of the episode! Mob mentality.
Bachelor in Paradise Season 7, Episode 8: Best moment: Master’s in marketing
Immediately following the annihilation, we get a hilarious conversation between Brendan and Pieper. It’s really more just what Pieper says that made me truly LOL.
"Obviously, we all care about followers. That’s just part of this franchise. And obviously, I’m, like, excited for the future possibility of making more money but I’m not, like…I would’ve got there on my own. Like, I have an entire, like, master’s degree in marketing."
You guys. An entire degree.
Hahaha. I’m going to go get my master’s in marketing right now if it’ll make me that much money!
I also just love how Pieper is not at all ashamed to admit that they’re all there for fame, followers, and money. At least partially. I’m glad someone said it.
