Brendan Morais and Pieper James continue to lose Instagram followers after explosive Bachelor in Paradise episode
By Diana Nosa
This season of Bachelor in Paradise is gearing up to be one of the wildest in the history of the show. The many betrayals that happened to the love-seeking contestants thus far have been enough to send us for a whirlwind, but there was absolutely nothing more shocking than what occurred during last night’s episode from none other than Brendan Morais and Pieper James.
The two were not on the island for the right reasons and, essentially, were lying to the faces of their fellow contestants and all of Bachelor Nation about their intentions of coming on the show in the first place. It was revealed that seeing an increase in their Instagram followers is what brought Morais and James to the island, but, ironically, they’ve done the opposite of that as Bachelor fans refuse to be made a fool out of.
Brendan and Pieper lose thousands of followers on Instagram
fans have been closely monitoring both Brendan Morais’ and Pieper James’ Instagram accounts after last night’s episode and saw a huge drop in followers from both of these reality TV stars. Morais, who initially had about 345,000 followers prior to the airing of episode 6, currently has
at the time of this article whereas James, who had around 88,000 followers at the start of the show, now has
.
While all we can say is a big “yikes” regarding the recent drama between these two clout-chasing contestants, Reddit fans undoubtedly have way more to comment about how James and Morais made a mockery of the show and the innocent people who they strung along to unknowingly be a part of their grand plan.
“It sucks that he [Brendan Morais] used her [Natasha Parker] to stay, but that’s forgivable,” one Redditor stated. “What’s not is the way he was gaslighting her and then talking down on her, saying she was annoying and nobody else wanted to date her anyway.” This is a statement that both ourselves and Natasha would agree with completely.
Parker took to her Instagram Story to give a quick shout-out to anyone who might have felt triggered during last night’s episode, offering love and virtual hugs to all those who were affected. However, she wasn’t the only gal taking to her Instagram Story to comment on the recent scandal as James also posted a statement about the drama.
James called for Bachelor Nation to remind themselves that Bachelor in Paradise is a heavily edited production and that they shouldn’t believe everything they see on the series. Even still, her Instagram followers continue to deplete as audiences everywhere are simply not buying whatever these two contestants are spewing. It’s safe to say Bachelor Nation wants nothing more than to see these two off of the island, but will they get that? We’ll have to tune in to find out.
Be sure to watch the brand new episode of Bachelor in Paradise season 7 airing tonight at 8:00 p.m. EST on ABC!
