Bachelor in Paradise Season 7, Episode 1: War of Roses
Bachelor in Paradise season 7 is here…and so is the drama! The core theme of any spin-off series of The Bachelor is to find love…and earn roses. Bachelor in Paradise season 7 has returned after a two-year hiatus, for the very first time since the drama-filled months of summer 2019.
Unlike every season that came before, this season of the spin-off reality series will be hosted by multiple guest celebrities, with comedian David Spade taking the reign in the first week.
Bachelor in Paradise Season 7, Episode one re-introduced several cast members we already know and love. Although the episode didn’t include a rose ceremony, we watched plenty of connections that were beginning to form. From Joe finally opening up to Serena, Noah the Nurse, and Abigail hitting it off instantly and Aaron and Tammy’s surprising pairing, we can pretty much predict where this is going to go. Unless next week introduces a hot new bunch of contestants, which will probably happen anyway.
The men have the roses this week which means three women will be going home, and with strong relationships taking shape on day 1 itself, here’s who we might think will score roses at the end of Bachelor in Paradise season 7, week 1.
War of Roses: Bachelor in Paradise Season 7, Couple 1: Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt
Grocery Store Joe™ aka Joe Amabile (from Becca Kufrin’s season) has returned to Paradise for his second shot at love. The first time he was here, he met Kendall Long (Arie Luyendyk’s season) and they left the show together, and dated for two years. Joe and Kendall were a fan-favorite BiP couple, so watching him with Serena Pitt (Matt James’ season) isn’t easy for anyone of us.
After a day of moping and comparing Serena to Kendall, Joe finally hit it off with her and they sealed their deal with a kiss (or two). Joe also mentioned being interested in pursuing her when he arrived, so I can totally see him giving her the rose at the end of the week. Unless of course, a certain someone shows up.
War of Roses: Bachelor in Paradise Season 7, Couple 2: Noah Erb and Abigail Heringer
I didn’t see this pairing–but after that adorable one-on-one date, I am so here for it. Noah the travel nurse (Clare Crawley/Tayshia Adam’s season) and Abigail (Matt James’ season) are both honest, and here to find something special.
They’re also pretty cute together but are not on the same page. During their one-on-one, Abigail mentioned wanting to take things slow and explained she needed time before calling someone her “boyfriend”. Noah was a bit stumped, but he didn’t shy away from conveying how he truly felt. Regardless of whether Noah and Abigail want the same things, they seem definitely interested in each other, and I can see him giving his rose to her next week.
War of Roses: Bachelor in Paradise Season 7, Couple 3: Tre Cooper and Tahzjuan Hawkins
Tre (from Katie Thurston’s season) and Tahzjuan (Colton Underwood’s season) paired up, despite her admission that she had been on a date with his uncle…and kissed him. Although Tre was somewhat weirded out at first, he seemed to have a connection with Tahzjuan and they had a good conversation.
Her revelation is probably the craziest thing I have ever seen on this show…but her continuing to pursue him regardless is pretty interesting. I could see Tre giving his rose to her at the end of Bachelor in Paradise season 7, week 1!
Excluding these three couples who had a whole “hot and heavy” thing going on, other contestants were seen spending quality time or hanging out. Connor and Maurissa cuddled, Aaron and Tammy had great conversation, Ivan and Jessenia spent some time in the hot tub together, Brendan and Natasha walked the beach together, while Kelsey and Goddess Victoria watched.
Tune in next week to see who pairs up with who!
