Bachelor in Paradise Season 7, Episode 1 recap: Paradise is back!
After two long years, Bachelor in Paradise is back! David Spade is the guest host of season 7, and we started tonight’s episode by meeting the cast. Wells Adams is back on the beach as an observer too! The first arrival was Abigail, closely followed by Grocery Store Joe. Both Ivan and Joe said they were interested in meeting Serena P., which started the first potential love triangle.
Many of the entrances were entertaining. Kenny arrived naked, and Kelsey shared a glass of champagne with Spade. After everyone joined the beach, Spade announced that the guys would have the power this week and hand out the roses.
Tahzjuan had an awkward moment when she spotted Tre on the beach. She had previously gone on a date with Tre’s uncle but also felt a connection to Tre. He heroically killed a bug bothering her during their chat, and they had their first kiss shortly after. Tahzjuan said in a confessional that she enjoyed kissing Tre more than his uncle.
Abigail received the first date card and invited Noah, who gladly accepted. Noah had mentioned during his entrance that he was most looking forward to meeting Abigail. There was a bit of tension during their date because Abigail liked to take things slow, and Noah didn’t think that would be possible in Paradise. But, in general, their date went well, and they had a great time smashing piñatas. Their evening concluded with a kiss.
Joe’s time on the beach seemed doomed from the beginning. He spent the entire day questioning his decision to try finding love in Paradise again. After ample alone time, Joe had a good chat with Wells and then grabbed more time with Serena. Joe confided in her, and they shared a kiss.
Tons of people coupled up the first night and thought they had experienced the first kiss in Paradise. The first-night kisses included Maurissa and Connor, Kenny and Mari, Ivan and Jessenia, and Aaron and Tammy. Queen Victoria, now Goddess Victoria, did not get as lucky as many of the other women. Her techniques to capture the interest of the men did not work.
Everyone assumed a new arrival would join Paradise the following day. The ladies were hoping for another guy because then another woman wouldn’t get sent home. But the latest arrival wound up being Demi. We’ll have to see how everyone takes her appearance next week!
Do you think Demi can give out a rose next week? Let us know in the comments!
The next episode of Bachelor in Paradise is Monday, Aug. 23rd, on ABC at 8 PM EST!
