The Bachelorette Season 17, Episode 9: Best moment: Blake and Greg’s chat

The best moment to come out of this episode of The Bachelorette was Greg’s much-needed man chat with Blake. I say much-needed for the audience, not Greg, as it clearly didn’t have much of an effect on him. However, seeing Greg and Blake discuss how hard the journey has been allowed us to see a stark contrast between the two men.

This is how lovely and reasonable Blake responded to the difficulty of the contestant journey:

“For me, I have no idea how she’s doing this and what she’s really thinking.”

Thank you, Blake, for some empathy for Katie! It must be extremely difficult for her to do this.

Greg  responds, “You’re handling it way better than me.”

Well, at least he’s aware.

The best moment comes when Blake says: “I try to blank it out…I’m going to get a workout in. Get the mind off things.”

Yes, Blake! Thank you for showing us what it looks like to acknowledge the process is hard, but to not uncontrollably spiral into your thoughts and feelings and, most importantly, to not blame Katie for a process you all signed up for!

Listening to Blake’s reasonable view on the situation, contrasted with a voiceover from Greg saying, “I’m just so sad…” was too good to be true.

Cheers to Blake.
