In this week’s episode of The Bachelorette Season 17, Katie Thurston had hometown dates with Blake, Justin, and Greg. Her first hometown date was with Blake, who showed her around “Canada”. Blake educated Katie on syrup, played darts with truth or dare cards in little balloons, and played hockey.

Katie met Blake’s mom, brother, and sister in the evening. His sister hilariously dragged Blake by stating he felt love for Clare and Tayshia. But after some heartfelt conversations, Blake’s family felt confident in their relationship.

Justin’s hometown date was in “Baltimore”. They had a romantic carriage ride to some sites like Graffiti Alley. Unfortunately, Justin’s parents couldn’t make it, so Katie was only able to meet two of his best friends. His best friends knew Justin very well, and they had great conversations. But Katie felt like Justin may not be ready for a proposal since his parents didn’t arrive.

The Bachelorette Season 17, Episode 9: Greg’s decision

Greg’s hometown date was a little rocky because he saw part of Katie’s date with Blake. He felt confused about their relationship after seeing the date. They went on a “Jersey” beach tour, which included riding a tandem bike, eating pork rolls, and surfing on a machine similar to a mechanical bull.

Meeting Greg’s family ended rocky too. Katie met his family, including his mom and brother, but she felt like Greg was giving up on their relationship by the end of the night. Greg looked visibly sad but tried to tell Katie he hadn’t given up on her. Greg appeared stuck in his head, and the date didn’t end well.

Greg felt like he spilled his heart out to her and received nothing in return. Instead, Katie said she felt like Greg was giving up on her. He wanted to know what went wrong and went to Katie’s room the next day. They had a tough conversation, and Greg felt done with their relationship. There was a significant miscommunication, and Greg couldn’t accept Katie’s apology.

Katie lost it after Greg walked away from her. She announced she was done and locked herself in the bathroom. Kaitlyn came by to check on Katie, and they had a heartfelt conversation through the door. Katie didn’t feel like she wanted to stay now that Michael and Greg left. She even said she wanted someone to book her a flight home.
