This week’s episode of The Bachelorette season 17 began with a heartbreak and a brutal self-elimination but luckily, it ended in laughs. This season’s Men Tell All has already become one of Bachelor Nation’s most wholesome episodes we’ve seen in a long time, and moments that made fans cringe were very few.

Also, can Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe co-host The Bachelorette forever, please?

From Katie Thurston referring to Aaron Clancy as Thomas, Karl Smith and Brendan the firefighter engaging in some name-calling and hilarious behind-the-scenes that never made it to the show, here’s a recap of this week’s most cringe-worthy moments!

The Bachelorette Season 17, Episode 8: Moment #1: Karl calls out Brendan for leeching off the show

The men tell all episode included so much more of Brendan Scanzano, the Canadian firefighter, compared to what we’ve seen on The Bachelorette Season 17 so far. Seriously, the amount of screen-time he has is crazy! Early on in the episode, one of the season’s villains, Karl Smith, got into an argument with Brendan and called him out for being on the show only because it bought him a free trip to the USA.

The 26-year-old firefighter trainee is from Toronto, Ontario, and Karl also accused him of being on Katie’s season so he could drink free beer! Does this statement have any truth to it? We’ll never know. How does Brendan retaliate to this accusation?

By calling Karl a sc*mbag, fake news and a snake. Real mature, guys. Real mature.

The Bachelorette Season 17, Episode 8: Moment #2: Connor kisses a random girl

Part-time math teacher and part-time ukulele champion Connor B. was a major frontrunner this season and some fans were certain he would win Katie’s heart. Turns out, you can wear your heart on your sleeve and dress up in a cat costume but if you’re not a good kisser – it’s over.

Katie sent Connor home after literally telling him that she didn’t feel a spark when he kissed her, which sent him tumbling down the insecurity rabbit hole..and led him to text his ex-girlfriends. Connor explains that they think he’s a good kisser, but of course, the spark has to be both ways.

Right then, a random girl from the audience interrupts and expresses her interest in him, walks to the stage and violently makes out with Connor. Weird, funny but also a tiny bit cringeworthy.

The Bachelorette Season 17, Episode 8: Moment #3: Katie calls Aaron by the wrong name

Brace yourselves: this was like the episode of Friends minus the wedding chapel AND on national television. Katie finally has a spot on the hot seat and begins having conversations with all her ex-boyfriends. She has nothing but “love and respect” for the guys, but we can’t say if she feels the same for Aaron….because she doesn’t remember his name.

Most of The Bachelorette Season 17 focused on Thomas who was made into a villain for just being honest. Katie and Thomas and a strong connection, but that didn’t last long. After Aaron expressed to Katie that he will always be in her corner, the Bachelorette responded “Thanks Thomas…err sorry!”

Katie! Isn’t Thomas off your mind already?
