Am I being dramatic or is this the best season of The Bachelorette in years? Leading lady Katie Thurston has made several really strong connections and the men this season are so sweet and fun. Though Katie sort of forced the guys to open up about trauma in their pasts during a group date, the contestants do seem genuinely ready to get vulnerable and tonight’s episode just proved that again.

Blake Moynes

officially joined the competition this week and as you’d expect, the other men in the house were not happy about it. Katie swung by to see how everyone was feeling when picking Blake up for their one-on-one, and the guys didn’t beat around the bush when expressing they weren’t thrilled over the new addition. Quartney Mixon even asked if the two

had already known each other

, to which Katie explained they only talked a couple of times over social media.

As we saw from the teasers for this week,

Hunter Montgomery

basically did emerge as the new villain in the house, as he was extremely aggressive during the group date and got super cocky.

Andrew Spencer

then got the second one-on-one date, and that went even better than I was expecting! The two opened up and spoke about being an interracial couple, something fans at home watching were pleasantly surprised to see.

So what about the rose ceremony? Find out who went home in the latest episode of The Bachelorette season 17 below.

Who was eliminated on The Bachelorette tonight?

The following three men were sent home during the rose ceremony in episode 5:

Are you surprised at these eliminations? It’s now getting tougher and tougher to send guys home as the house gets smaller in size each week. More drama is bound to come in the rest of the season!
