Andrew Spencer is quickly emerging as a frontrunner on The Bachelorette season 17, winning over Katie Thurston as well as the viewers at home watching each week.
While others have given into drama and enjoyed stirring the pot, Andrew has repeatedly been a breath of fresh air instead breaking out his British accent to lighten the mood and bringing Katie Taco Bell. With each passing episode, Bachelor Nation is becoming more and more invested in Andrew’s journey and wanting to learn all there is to know about the charming frontrunner.
While Spencer has been more than forthcoming in opening up to Katie and allowing viewers the chance to get to know him, there is one question that has yet to be addressed on the series regarding his career.
Andrew S The Bachelorette football team
Those who have been following the season closely have heard Andrew mention a few times that he is a professional football player, but the exact team he plays for has never been directly mentioned on the show. As such, many have been left to wonder what team Andrew plays for and whether it’s an American team or an international team.
Currently, Andrew Spencer plays for the Dacia Vienna Vikings which is an American Football Club based out of Vienna, Austria. Andrew was signed to the team in 2019 and plays both defensive back and running back for the team, and helping the team to win an Austrian title series in 2020
The Vikings are said to be one of the successful football program in Europe with several European and Austrian titles, and Andrew is definitely a key part of the organization’s current team.
Andrew S cousin
Interestingly, Andrew Spencer isn’t the only athlete in his family nor is he the first person from his family to be on The Bachelorette.
Andrew is the cousin of NFL tight end Clay Harbor, who has played for several teams in the league including the Philadelphia Eagles (2010–2012), Jacksonville Jaguars (2013–2015), New England Patriots (2016), Detroit Lions (2016) and New Orleans Saints (2017). Clay appeared on The Bachelorette season 14, but ultimately left the show early on and was in no way considered a frontrunner like his cousin Andrew.
