The Bachelorette Season 17 is in full swing as we enter into the fourth week of episodes! At this point, we’re starting to get comfortable with the men, understanding their subtle nuances and what makes them who they are. It’s that point of the season where you’re starting to recognize who just might make it to the end, and who is on their way out.
Amongst these men is one Thomas Jacobs, a contestant that has already pissed the other men in the house off. His intentions seem questionable, and based on this week’s upcoming episode, it seems like he’s really on the show to eventually snag a shot at becoming the Bachelor. That’s totally messed up, but let’s be honest, aren’t most of them there for that reason or at the very least, the fame?
Personally, I’m not crazy about the guy and while he may not be as obnoxious as Karl Smith, Thomas Jacobs is definitely rising to the top of the villain’s list of this season. But before he hopped onto the show to pursue a shot at love, what was he like? Who is Thomas Jacobs?

You might have realized that Thomas looks extremely tall compared to Katie, and it’s not because she’s short! According to the San Diego men’s basketball team roster from 2013-2014, the Bachelorette contestant stands at 6’6.

According to Jacobs’ ABC bio, he works as a real estate agent in sunny California. If you take a peek at his Zillow page, you’ll learn that he has been in the real estate business for about six years now, and he’s pretty darn good at his job. Apparently, he’s in the top 3% of all real estate agents in his area. That’s pretty impressive if I do say so myself!
He may be good at selling houses, but he’s not doing a good job on selling that he’s on The Bachelorette for the right reasons.

As of right now, Thomas has around 4,660 followers on his Instagram. It’s not as high as some of his fellow contestants, but these are still early days. I anticipate the number of followers will increase at some point, especially post-season or post-exit.
Taking a peek at his Instagram, you can see that Thomas loves dogs and is a family man. In fact, he has two rescue dogs, Leo and Sofia. He’s not that great on the series, but I’d be remiss not to mention that he seems pretty darn eligible and charming based on his social media. Rescue dogs? Come on!
