While it’s still very early on in Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette, people already have major favorites. First, the frontrunner was contestant Greg Grippo, who not only received the first impression rose but also got the first one-on-one date. Katie’s date with Greg was sweet and heartfelt, and they bonded over losing a parent. Come the third episode, however, and it was basically the Michael Allio show!

Despite all the drama going on in the house between Thomas Jacobs and the other contestants, Michael truly stole the show with his honesty and genuine desire to fall in love. Before Katie invited him on a one-on-one date, we got a scene where he spoke with two others in the house about his late wife, Laura. Sadly, Laura passed away from cancer, and Michael was waiting for the right time to open up to Katie about it.

By the one-on-one date, Michael shared what happened to Laura and was met with support from Katie. They had such a touching moment and it honestly looked like it could be endgame for the pair. But will it be?

Does Michael win The Bachelorette season 17?

As much as fans are rooting for Michael A. now on The Bachelorette season 17, he unfortunately does not make it to the final rose. He actually doesn’t even make it to Katie’s final four, which is surprising! Reality Steve has some intel on Michael A.’s journey this season, explaining in a post:

"“Michael lasts long this season, but his exit I’ve been told revolves around his son. We’ve seen this before where people with kids get to a point where if they’re not gonna be picked, they might as well go home. I don’t know any of the exact details regarding his departure, I just know either Katie sends him home to be with his son or he wants to leave because of it. I believe he makes it to the episode before hometowns.”"

While we don’t know exactly how Michael A.’s departure goes down, we know he does not win the season and he does not get engaged to Katie. Boo! Based on the episodes we’ve seen so far, we could totally see them being together in the end. But apparently, there are many more developments to be had this season!
