Nick Viall leading group therapy, some dune buggy flipping by our girl, and more tribe mentality from the gentlemen were all present on Monday night’s episode of The Bachelorette Season 17. What started out with a rose ceremony and ended once again without one, Katie’s journey was rocky and full of dudes getting mad at other dudes.

But between the legitimately touching moments and the attempts by the group to vote off their least favorite housemates (this is not Survivor, guys.), who made it into our power rankings of this week’s episode of The Bachelorette Season 17?

Do you agree with our top three? Let us know in the comments below and be sure to share who made your top three list this week.

The Bachelorette Season 17, Episode 3 power rankings

#1: Connor B.

Cat costume or not, there is no denying that Katie’s favorite math teacher, Connor B., is topping the rankings this week and is our number one power player.

During a very emotional group date where the guys spilled the milk aka their past traumas on national television (we’re still doing this, ABC??), Connor had an especially moving story about his struggles with alcohol resulting in cheating on his girlfriend and essentially destroying his life. Katie was moved by his honesty and emotions throughout (and let’s be honest, the tears), and the two bonded more that evening at the group date cocktail party.

They sealed the deal with an aggressive make-out session initiated by Connor grabbing Katie’s face with his for once kitty-paw free hands. The move paid off and Connor received the group date rose which made him feline pretty fine about his place in this competition for Katie’s heart.

#2: Thomas

Hate the player, don’t hate the game takes new meaning for our 2nd place dude this week. He successfully landed in the villain role after Karl made his hasty exit from the show. “I’m falling in love with you” Thomas takes the runner-up position.

While the rest of the guys opened up their hearts on the group therapy date, Thomas took a different route and said a whole lot of nothing through a creepy Cheshire Cat-like smile. I promise the cat puns are done.

That evening Katie called him out on his avoidance of answering questions and told him he needed to give her actual responses or this wasn’t going to work. Thomas responded by slapping on another smile, interrupting Aaron’s one-on-one time after stalking the pair, kissing our Bachelorette to distract her from his lack of words, and telling her he is getting big feelings ALREADY. Yikes.

Alas, Katie is smitten by Thomas and his smooth-talking, good looks, and what I can only assume was a great kissing session. The men may think he’s here for the wrong reasons, but Thomas knows what he’s doing, and I think he will be around for a while.

#3: Michael A.

Getting the one-on-one is always a good sign and our final placing this week goes to a sweet, adorable man who is ready to find love and laid it all out on his date. Single dad, Michael A. takes the third spot in our rankings.

After some rough roads on their dune buggy daytime date, Michael knew it was time to get serious with Katie and fully explain his situation during the evening portion. It was a very emotional chat as he explained how he met the love of his life and lost her to breast cancer two years ago leaving Michael as a single father to his son, James.

Tears were flowing both from Katie and Michael and from all of Bachelor Nation to be honest, as his story and hope to find his forever love pulled on the heartstrings. All I can say is that Michael needs to be protected at all costs!

Katie was touched and moved and no surprise, gave the date rose to Michael and his son which is the cutest thing ever! I love these two together and am very hopeful that this pair lasts.
