It’s always exciting when families grow from a Bachelor Nation romance–and it’s doubly exciting when the new arrivals are twins!

Arie Luyendyk Jr., star of The Bachelor Season 22, welcomed twins with his wife Lauren Luyendyk, on June 11, 2021. Lauren safely delivered a boy and girl via C-section, and the couple made the announcement on social media three days later.

No word on names yet, but this Instagram post suggests that one baby’s name will start with an L and the other with an S. Lauren said in an interview with PEOPLE that the names were picked two years ago as they decided what to call their first child, Alessi: “Right after we decided on her name, we actually chose the next two for our boy and our girl. It just ended up working out where we’re now having a boy and a girl. So we’re just gonna use both of those names that we loved.”

Arie made his first appearance in Bachelor Nation as a fan-favorite on The Bachelorette Season 8 in 2012. Six years later, he became the Bachelor and met Lauren. Things got off to a rocky start when Arie let go of her at second place, instead proposing to Becca Kufrin. Shortly after, he broke up with Becca in a painfully awkward televised segment and rekindled his relationship with his runner-up. But all’s well that ends well–Becca went on to become the Bachelorette, while Arie and Lauren Luyendyk wed in January 2019 and seem to be going strong ever since.

Arie and Lauren Luyendyk’s twin daughter remains in NICU

In the couple’s YouTube video documenting the birth, they revealed that their daughter is still in the newborn intensive care unit. “She’s just having some trouble breathing and keeping her heart rate up, but they say that’s completely normal for preemies,” Arie said. “We’ve got this cute little guy to snuggle on for now,” Lauren added as she held their son.

Hopefully, their new girl will be home with the rest of the family soon. Congrats to Arie and Lauren Luyendyk on their latest arrivals!

Do you have any guesses on what the twins will be named? Let us know in the comments!
