The Bachelorette Season 17 is finally here! Monday night’s episode was an interesting mix of familiar (same format, bedazzled dress, limo exits) and new (new hosts, new musical score, new location).  Katie Thurston seems to be off to a great start with her contestants (they’re “literally all 10’s!”) and a few frontrunners seem apparent. Although there wasn’t much drama last night, the previews promise a wild ride ahead!

Let’s get to the best and worst moments of this week’s premiere!

The Bachelorette Season 17, Episode 1: Best moment: Greg gets the rose!

I always love when my taste in men happens to line up with the Bachelorette’s, Greg Grippo’s receipt of the first impression rose indicates that this season is a rare occurrence of that!

Greg was such a quiet charmer when he stepped out of the limo to meet Katie. I personally loved that he was so nervous—who wouldn’t be nervous in this insane scenario? It’s also rare to find such an obviously sincere contestant. Anyone who can say “I really truly feel like there’s a connection” and not sound fake at this point in the game is a keeper!

Greg’s best moment by far was his outright astonishment at getting the first impression rose. Check it out for yourself!

Greg repeating “I can’t believe I just got this!” was the most precious thing. Believe it, Greg!
